I love the lions,  giraffes and zebras on the fabric that I choose. The quilt is still in process so I decided to enter just the design. This will be my third quilt that I have made. Make sure you click on the above link with the words pet quilt show  to link up to Lillypads site for all the rules. now I hope I enter it right. Closes the 12th. Dixie pattern for Brooke

I made one of Ellieinspired halter sundress size 1 for a little girl my daughter babysat the school year. Brook just turn one in July. I love the way it  turned out with pink ribbon eyelet trim on front bodice and on the shoulder straps and I put white lace on the bottom edge of the dress. Here is an update of brooke wearing the dress. she looks so adorable.

Its a minky and cotton owl duet

I thought I would show you what I have been working on. I have been making a few baby things which have included a receiving blanket made out of blue minky and an owl flannel print from Joannes fabric store and this adorable owlie stuffed toy (from GG designs) at http://www.ggdesignsembroidery.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=108 and a owl zip bag (from garden embroidery) at
http://www.embroiderygarden.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=663. I think they turned out so cute !
The stuff toy is made out of minky and the wings are the flannel, and owl zip bag is made out of batik cotton with wings are also flannel, both are done in the hoop except for whip stitching the toy closed. They were so much fun to make!

recieving blanket , stuff toy, and zipped bag

I made a bib for Nolan to match his cousins bib. Each have their own initial  using the spunky alphabet applique designs by lynnie pinnie.com . I really like how the applique initials turned out. The top part of each bib is made out of the flannel and bottom made out of a towel I bought from walmart. The Free pattern is from a boutique style bib tutorial

3rd onsie and the raspberry patch

Here is Jonathan wearing the third onsie I made him. It has a white background with blue/brown trucks on it, trimmed with brown ribbing.  He went to the raspberry patch with his mother and she said he ate a lot of raspberries! Looks like he is looking for the best one. The second picture looks like he found a  sour one. Thank you for the cute pictures. Pictures taken by his mother April.

Handbag set

Sh! Its for my daughter belated birthday. I am only a week late,  but I  did send it today! Most of the time she doesn't have time to check my blog so I think I am safe in sharing without her knowing what she is getting. If she does see it that's ok. I hope she likes it as much as I liked making it.
I had fun making this set. I used the Simplicity  2277 for the handbag, the two zipper monogram bags and the monogram on the handbag are from pickle pie designs. The Kleenex zipper bag is from Secrets of Embroidery.
The handbag I  modified a little. Instead of making a basic handbag with a cover  I made it all one  piece and put the handle in front and back instead of the sides, added the ribbon and monogram embroidery to match the zippered bags. I think it turned out well considering the lining in handbag wasn't working out for awhile.

thank you for visiting and have a great day!
